Howdy and welcome! My name is Courtney Leeper, and I’m glad you could stop by to join me in my journey, the journey of an agriculture advocate.
I live on the family farm in North Central Missouri where we raise beef cattle, chickens, corn, soybeans, and some fruits, vegetables and herbs. It's not much, but my heritage: the values instilled, life lessons learned, and sense of being connected to the past while looking towards the future, is invaluable and something I hope to be able to pass on someday.
I once took this lifestyle for granted, but my experiences through FFA opened my eyes to how much it is threatened. Through FFA I also discovered a passion for writing, and that coupled with my love of the people and lifestyle of the agricultural industry has led me to pursue a future in agricultural journalism.
My faith in Jesus Christ is what guides me through this journey, and I strive to serve others and glorify God. I feel like this path is where He has led me, and I look forward to the many adventures I know I’ll have.
Currently, I’m studying Science and Agricultural Journalism at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Life as a college student, especially that of a country kid in the big city, can be crazy, but I hope you’ll join me as I observe the world from an ag perspective and make my way into the professional world.
I'm just beginning on this journey, but if there is some way I could help you along yours I'd be glad to. And of course, if you have something you'd like me to be aware of I'd be much obliged! The best way to contact me is by email.
